Re-imagined Superman

This was a comic cover design created for a rejigged version of Warren Ellis' Remake/Remodel thread on his Whitechapel site.
For the version submitted to Whitechapel I cropped the image so that it'd look like a comic cover. But when I looked at my original Illustrator file I realized I liked the way it looked before the cropping, with all the ragged bits of imagery poking from the edges, so I've uploaded that version to deviantART.
